Ambroxol hydrochloride     15mg

Guaiphenesin                       30mg

Theophylline anhydrous      50mg


Usage and indications:

Treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid mucus such as:-

  • Bronchial asthma
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Acute tracheobronchitis
  • Emphysema
  • Chronic bronchitis

Dosage and administration:

Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, the dose is:-

Children above 6 years:

1 - 2 teaspoonful 3 to 4 times daily.


2 - 4 tablespoonful 3 times daily.

Undesirable effects:

The drug is very well tolerated; reported adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, headache & rash.

Warnings & precautions:

This medication is completely prohibited for children under two years of age.

For children below six years and above two years, use of this medication is only restricted to physician’s advice.

A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough persists for more than a week or tends to reoccur or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache, patient reevaluation should be considered.

Before prescribing any medication to suppress or modify cough, it is important that the underlying cause of the cough is identified, that modification of cough does not increase the risk of clinical or physiological complications & that appropriate therapy for the primary disease is instituted.

In patients with gastric ulceration relative caution should be observed.
